Back home, Grandpa Ben's brass compass would NOT sit still. It kept twitching at… her glowing tablet.

The old diary grew warm and fell open on its own. A brand-new line appeared, in Grandpa Ben's handwriting.
"Find the factory that makes nothing you can hold."
Look at a phone, a game, a video, a train ticket. None of them is a thing you can pick up — they're all made of invisible instructions that someone had to think up and write down. A whole company can be built out of nothing but clever thinking. How?

One blink she was falling. The next… she stood in a bright, calm room full of people quietly staring at glowing screens.
Where are the machines? The smoke? It's so… QUIET!

A friendly young woman in a purple hoodie spun round in her chair. "You must be Charlotte! I'm Ada. I'm a software engineer — I build things out of pure thinking."

Ada swept her arm across the huge floor — hundreds of people, each one thinking hard at a screen.
This is a FACTORY? But nobody's making anything I can see!

"Ideas turn into instructions," said Ada. "That's the whole job — turning thoughts into steps a machine can follow."
Most factories make things you can touch — steel, paint, cars. But this one makes software: careful lists of instructions that tell OTHER machines what to do. You can't hold software… but it can run a whole bank, a whole airport, a whole game. It's a factory made of thought.

It's TCS! Tata — like the STEEL from my very first adventure!

"It began in 1968," said Ada, "when computers were rare machines as big as a whole room. A handful of hopeful Indians started tinkering with them, dreaming big."
A room-sized computer?! And they weren't scared of it!

Once TCS runs a company's systems for years, switching to someone else is scary and costly. So clients stay — for a very long time.

What could still hurt it? Growing careless and breaking a client's trust. Or a clever rival using new tools (like AI) to solve problems cheaper and faster.

Charlie tapped his head. "Here's my trick, kiddo: don't only ask how to WIN. Ask how you'd LOSE — then don't do that. Invert. Always invert."

Charlie's Inversion: to keep a thinking-business great, imagine how it could be RUINED — break a promise, stop learning, let the talent grow stale — then carefully avoid every one of those. Solving a puzzle backwards often shows the answer faster than solving it forwards!
